Through over 30 years of business, Møreforsking has built solid expertise on designing and conducting projects within varying time- and budget-frames. The institute has 55 employees, whom conduct research, development, counseling and knowledge development.


Agnes Christine Gundersen

Agnes C. Gundersen is the CEO of Møreforsking AS and Managing Director of Møreforsking Ålesund AS. Gundersen has a high commitment for research and innovation and to develop Møreforsking as a catalyst for value creation both in a regional and a national perspective.  
Her scientific merits are within fisheries biology: life history traits, management, sustainable harvesting and utilization of marine resources. Key competence comprises management, project design and development, publishing, communication. She has more than 25 years of international networking and collaboration, extensive experience from scientific surveys (longline, gillnets, traps, trawl and shrimp trawl) and more than 40 oral presentations/posters on conferences/symposia, mostly international. Gundersen is an experienced reviewer for international journals and has been opponent for PhD dissertations.  
She was employed at Møreforsking in 1993 and has since then been involved in several national and international research projects. She defended her PhD at the University of Bergen in 2004 and was appointed Principal researcher in 2008. She has been involved in expert groups in ICES (The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea) since 1994. She is board member e.g. in NCE Blue Legasea, Atlanterhavsparken and Campus Kristiansund.
