Deodat is employed as a researcher in the Logistics group since January 2019.
He has a PhD in logistics with specialization in value
chain management. The title of the dissertation is: "Analysis on interfirm
conflicts in Tourism Value Chains". Here, Deodat uses structural equation
modeling to analyze various issues related to conflicts between the players in
tourism value chains.
Deodat's
scientific work has been published in merit international journals, including
the Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Management, the Journal of Global
Operations and Strategic Sourcing, Tourism Review, and Current Issues in
Tourism. During the fellowship period at Molde University College, he has
taught in the subject Ecommerce and has been a supervisor for three master's
assignments within value chain management. In the field of Ecommerce, Deodat
has had a strong focus on digital strategy, digital value chains and
automation, marketing and analysis of digital business models. In the next
three years, Deodat will participate in a research project funded by the
Research Council of Norway with a framework of NOK 7 million in the period
2018-2021. The project aims to answer various questions related to digital
services at Norwegian airports. Deodat has previous experience as auditor at
Ernst & Young Tanzania, and serviced customers operating in banking,
industry and tourism.
